Do you have a Facebook?
Tuesday, June 12th, 2007
Have you ever thought about what Facebook does with your personal information? Well, they sell it to marketing corporations. The knowledge databases that are building up online are relatively rich, and web communities and social networking sites are taking advantage of the relative lack of laws around this subject. Web 2.0 users are known to skip over Terms of Use and just click OK, OK, and not read the fine print. Do you know who’s creepbooking you? It could be the CIA, or another government agency.

I am writing to ask your permission to use the picture found on your website, in a story on _Facebook in our school
magazine, eh, la-bas.
The magazine circulates only in the high school, which has less than 250
students. There is no paid circulation, and we don’t sell advertising.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Parker D
I didn’t make the graphic, sorry!
